Queens of the Stone Age (1998 Version)

by Queens of the Stone Age

Xtra Happy
Xtra Happy thumbnail
Xtra Happy A peculiar, spaced-out, hare-brained album that bridges the desolate void between Kyuss and what would become Queens. S/T is a mix of driving stoner rock classics like 'Regular John' and 'If Only' slammed together in a high-speed crash with oddballs like 'You Would Know' and 'Hispanic Impressions'. Even Rated R's silly moments feel tame in comparison to S/T flinging its shit wildly at passing tourists like a caged chimpanzee in a zoo. Favorite track: How to Handle a Rope (A Lesson in the Lariat).
